IAEE Guidelines for Earthquake Resistant Non-Engineered Construction (English Edition by NICEE)
The 'Guidelines for Earthquake Resistant Non-Engineered Construction' was published by the International Association for Earthquake Engineering (IAEE) in 1986 with the objective of improving the seismic safety of non-engineered housing constructions. Such structures are usually built by common man across many developing countries. It offers basic concepts and construction techniques to improve the earthquake resistance of these commonly built houses. The National Information Center of Earthquake Engineering of India (NICEE) is pleased to offer the second reprint of the English version of these Guidelines. The excellent layout and design of this document was developed by The Indian Concrete Journal (ICJ) of ACC as part of the first reprint of these Guidelines.
